Introducing Pauls Valley Chiropractor Dr. Jonas Sprowls

I just wish I had known then what I know now.

Chiropractic has been a part of my family for many years as my grandmother worked for a chiropractor for 25 years. I spent a lot of time in that clinic but never really understood how much chiropractic really helped people. When I started college on a baseball scholarship I injured my shoulder and after seeing a medical doctor and going through physical therapy I never got any better and became very depressed thinking my baseball days were over. Finally, I was convinced to visit a chiropractor and within one visit my shoulder started feeling much better and my range of motion started coming back. That day I knew I was going to become a chiropractor.

After graduating high school in Pauls Valley, I attended the University of Oklahoma Where I completed my undergraduate degree in Health/Sport Sciences I was then accepted into Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, MO. During my four years at Cleveland, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the Cleveland College Public Clinic. After graduating in 2003, Dr. Sprowls returned to Pauls Valley to establish his practice.

"We love skeptics," smiles Dr. Sprowls. "I still remember the concerns and apprehensions I had when I went to the chiropractor for the first time. So we make it a point to explain everything in advance, answer questions and attempt to over communicate. Patients appreciate that."

Dr. Sprowls is married to Ranae and has one child, Jali Ranae, and two labrador retrievers, Simba and Naula, whom they consider their children also. Dr. Sprowls is an avid fisherman and continues to be highly involved in athletics as he plays semi-pro baseball in the summer and flag football in the winter and can be found on the golf course whenever he finds free time.
